Fresh Flower Coffee Table

A personal project from Simion Hawtin-Smith, upholster and designer on BBC One TV show Money for Nothing.

Reclaimed Iroko school lab desktop dating back to the 1950s with original graffiti left for authenticity. A coffee table with a quirky twist. The lab desk arrived with a small circular hole, possibly from the Bunsen burner rubber hose. So rather than hide it, it’s now a lovely floral feature keeping true to its heritage by adding a test tube to be used as a vase. Made with stylish yellow hair pin legs for a pop of colour while also complimenting the beautiful wood tones.
